Working..working...and more work!..not enough time to blog(although im curious as to how so many TBloggers have the time to rap, chat, read blogs, update their blog, and read blogs).
anyway,i've linked my latest remix contest entry for AcidPlanet unto my blog so anyone can hear it(and maybe leave a comment about it). Its the song by Caroline Lavelle who played for many celtic bands like the Chieftains. Ive remixed her song and you can even go to acidplanet and hear her original song and compare to mine.
I will be creating links to band websites(some known some unknown) as I find them and post them.
Im thinking about uploading one complete vinyl remix/remaster from my collection of old records from the 60's,70's,80's,and 90's. I need input as to which one all of you want to download. I will create MP3's for all. They will be remastered and cleaned up with audio software Sound Forge. Here's the first group:
1.) OMD Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark - Crush A cool ablum from the eighties from one of the decades' most intriging bands(or duos)hits include "so in love and Secrets". 2.) PIL (Public Image Limited) - Live in Tokyo Another band with frontman Johnny Lyndon(Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols). 3.)Love and Rockets - Earth, Sun, and Moon former members of the gothic band Bauhaus brought gothic music to the fore front in clubs around the UK and the states. They introduced goth music as pop with hits like "mirror people", and the club 80's anthem "no new tale to tell".
4.) Dweezil Zappa - Havin a bad Day Frank Zappa's son who proved to everyone in the eighties that he had real guitar chops just like his old man. This ablum was digitally recorded by Frank Zappa as well as produced. The music is original and have stood the test of time with songs like "you cant ruin me", and the duet with his sister, Moon Zappa, called "lets talk about it".
5.) The Beatles - a.) Let It Be(Japanese Vinyl Import) and b.) Meet the Beatles(yes..the very first ablum in perfect near mint condition!!!)
The Let It Be album I purchased back in the eighties for just 15 dollars. Its the original apple label version from Japan in perfect condition.
Meet the Beatles was my lucky find at a Salvation Army thrift store. I paid about 1.25 back in 1985!!. Its in near mint condition ready for the digital makeover.
6.) Joe Perry I've got the rocksandrolls again Lead guitarist for Aerosmith, Joe Perry formed a side project back in the eighties during Aerosmiths bad times . The album is full of hard rock guitar driven music that could be compared to aerosmiths Toys in the attic album.
Ok..so its up to you all!!..leave your choices in the comments.
work has become such a shadow or fortune that it takes at least three to four hours until all that customer service/tech support "sixth sense" fades away. Now the company has decided to train me and a few other guys with the new AOL computer systems and using a program called "AS400"..lots of Fkeys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the storm has been downgraded to a tropical storm. The heavy rain and winds are still prominent and debris is practically everywhere. Last night, very fast and strong winds pounding on the windows and doors like a funhouse.
I drove around the neighborhood and much of the damage is tree related scattered around the city streets.
just a quick note to you all live from Miami, florida...hurricane frances is really a bitch!!..sustained winds hitting hard around my house now. Its been like that all day!. Had to pick up some debris from the front yard, lots of branches around the streets. Broken electrical poles across the street. Its not as bad as hurricane Andrew from the early 90's, but not exactly safe either. next update soon.
where do i start?..I should be updating this blog more often but unfortunately my time has been splintered in to many juicy pieces.
first of all, why have I been away so long:
new job as tech support for a computer company(a really big one) and im on my second week of training in a class environment. Ive been learning a new application for customer support services(ill be taking calls and soving problems). It pays only 12.50 but I figured if i answer e-mail on my computer why not get paid for it?.
The class is moderately difficult but im learning tons of new stuff.
The other great news is that I will be creating original music for a new and upcoming video game(Playstation 2) for a title called "Dark Child" based a new comic series. I have started a theme music for the game along with other material and will be posting them on AcidPlanet.com as soon as im done. The music is very atmospheric and guitar driven, along with a taste of electronica/trance. You can download them all for free. For now, you can visit the Dark child website for more info right here:G7 Studios.
You may have noticed my inclusions of pictures of the band "Otep". The reason is simple: they rock!!..check out their music and very awsome videos here:Otep.
My short stories have taken a backseat due to so much responsibilities, but finsih they will be so stay tuned. Tigerlilly's poetry in motion song that im composing will be posted sometime this coming monday on AcidPlanet.com.
If anyone wants me to check out their blog just leave me a little note at the chatter box and I will visit you.
Ive added a few new banners. They are from the band "Otep" who are a thrash/metal band from L.A.. Their eneregy is raw, the lyrics are surprisingly fresh and poetic, and the music is..well,..metal, but its nice to hear a raw talent no matter what the music genre is. I updated the writers link for this week with a new twist..erotic fiction!. I wanted this type of fiction writing from the ladies perspective, and found this very cool site called Satin Slippers that do just that. The fiction on this site is ONLY for the ladies, but if you men want to venture out into a different world then by all means. Im sure the lady bloggers who appreciate good fiction will give that site a spin.
It has been some time since my last post. I have been very busy with my personal life(and that life I will not post as some do on a blog somewhere on the net). I have completed a new remix of Tweaker's song "Its Still Happening", and is titled Tweaker - Burning Wicker Man Remix on AcidPlanet.com. Tweaker is made up of Nine Inch Nails drummer Chris Vrenna. This was a very hard track to remake since the complex pieces of the song are fragmented and tough to deconstruct as something new. This is a contest I entered and hope I may win something this time. Just click the above link to go to my site and listen to the song. Leave comments about it. Up next is the Dark Poem winner,Tigerlilly, and her poem "Time" which I have begun recording last week and will be available soon. I am still writing on weekends and evenings and will post new material soon. I found that if I type just a sentence or paragraph each day I get a lot done. Simple steps in the writing process. Hope everyones ready for the Fall season as I am. Stay safe. Peace Xavier
I wanted to contribute to the mundane train of thought(or perhaps the collective conscience) of the blog universe. One great dietary plan to follow if you blog way way too much is to eat leaner. Heres a recipe for those lonely nights(or days):
Fideo A La Blogger
This is a simple recipe that will cut down on the calories but will fill you up quickly(not too much though). Fideo is a thin noodle that is common in most chinese soups, but found in many spanish dishes. This noodle or pasta is found in most supermarkets( its not exotic). Fideo is spanish for noodle or "small noodle". This dish creates a quick chinese meal on the fly with little prep time(so you can go back to blogging).
Ingredients:
1.) 1 One package of Fideo noodles
2.) One can of broth(chicken)
3.) 1 One can of unsalted corn
4.) Fresh Green String beans(not canned)
5.) Shitaki Mushrooms
6.) Tofu(im vegetarian but you could also use chicken)
7.) two parts of garlic
8.) Half of a white onion
9.) Soy Sauce(peanut sauce is better)
Chop up the garlic and onions(cubed) and throw in lightly oiled pan. begin to cook in medium heat to slightly brown the onions and set aside. Next, boil your string beans until they become a deep green color, drain water and set aside. Next, add your string beans into the pan where the onions and garlic are. begin stirring under low heat and add some salt and pepper to taste. Next, add about two tablespoons of the broth into the mixture and stir slowly. Now add your mushrooms(chopped but not cubed) into the mix. Continue stirring. Next, add your firm Tofu cubed into the mix and continue stirring making sure the tofu gets browned(if chicken, you should cook it separately first, then add to mixture).
Now put the heat up a bit and add some soy sauce(how much is up to you). Stir for one minute and remove pan from heat, set aside. Now you boil the Fideo remembering to not overcook or undercook. Best times for these would be around 15 - 20 minutes in medium heat(add salt and stir occassionly until you "feel" the consistentcy of the noodles in the pot.
As thats cooking, you are "maranading" the onions and string beans in the pan by just leaving them in the pan for about five to ten minutes.
Finally, drain noodles and throw them into the pan. Mix them well with two forks. Finally, add the corn as a topping(do not mix).
My god!!..i havent posted a fucking thing on my blog!!... Oh well,I will contemplate my bad manners as soon as I step off the sanity lane and drop right on insanity expressway.
I have taken notice of how most blogs work. Some key elements in making a really great blog are:
1.) Mundane thoughts from total strangers who for all intent and purpose you will never meet, but for some unknown reason you are strangely drawn into thier fragmented thoughts and find them..."interesting".
2.) Biased political thought served hot and spicy. I will not name names, but you all should know who they are. Thier country flags wave proudly on thier columns while they spew out the venom that trickles down your face as you lick it and say.."I want more".
Thats it!..just follow the above examples and your blog will triple in traffic. Dont believe me, go to the featured blogs section and see who's hot.
It has been awhile since my last post(about one hour ago, but the new HTML feature and the entire new TBlog site loads very slowly and you lose what lengthy post you wrote about one hour ago(it got erased and all because I wanted to edit the title). Great new features indeed.
First, I want to say a big thank you to my friend Clare(Tigerlilly) from the UK who won the Dark Poem contest for her entry "Time". It is a poem that transcends the stereotype imagery and focuses on raw emotional drive from within. You can read the poem below and congrats again to Clare who recieves 120 TBucks for her efforts. As for the X-Files contest there were no interested parties wanting to contribute. I guess the next contest will be based solely on some political Bullshit that divides nations(and bloggers) who want to spat hatred towards one nation or another, or towards the next presidential wanna-be. I am quite sure it will generate more traffic to my blog.
There are some links I've found that may be of interest to some of you. The art world is filled with new and old art that battle for attention on the walls of galleries and museums these days, but ArtSeenSoho Basquiat demonstrates that one of the 80's premiere artists who broke many rules of art, Jean-Michel Basquiat was the a-typical tortured artist who ruled all of New York and Los Angelese for a brief time in history, then lost it all for heroin and death. Artseensoho displays some of the artists work online. For those of you who want a jucier take on the artist from the perspective of his assistant you will find many fascinating stories, from Basquiat dating Madonna(before her career sored off the roof) to the artist use of money. Go to John Seed for all the details. A must-read for anyone interested in art.
Another site that I found yesterday accidentlly is the John Cassavetes Fansite. Who is John Cassavetes?. He is considered the "father of American Independent Filmmaking". Before there was Spike Lee or Quintin Tarantino, Cassavetes in the 50's was financing his own movies in 16mm film formats that were awarded Oscars and other awards. He also acted in many films throughout his career from "the Dirty Dozen" to "Rosemary's Baby" which he used the money from those projects to finance his own works. He said Fuck You Hollywood and did his own thing in a time when most americans were still afriad to do there own thing(sounds like a familiar scene of today). This site is run by his biographer Ray Carney. One story that is worth reading is about the filmmakers "lost version" of his award winning film "Shadows" that was lost over fourty years ago and how Ray went on a hunt for the lost treasure. Makes for a good thriller!. Go here to The John Cassavetes Pages and read the full story.
Ozzie my dog has a bad case of Ear Mites ever since last year. On Thursday he will go to the vet to get treatment. So much for taking care of your own kids.
I will be posting the second installment of my horror novella ,"The Nature of Jellyfish" this Friday. I recently found an old manuscript of my story "Marmalade and assorted love letters" on a floppy. I am currently re-writing/editing/adding stuff to it and will post it sometime by the end of August. Its the story of a little blind girl who runs away from home with her imaginary talking dog and live inside an abandoned house in New Jersey.
Tigerlilly's poem will be turned into a spoken word/music track for AcidPlanet sometime in the coming weeks. I will create an original score for it and recite it. I will be posting some advice on File-Sharing in the next couple of hours. Stay tuned.
Summer has just turned a corner folks. Now its all up hill from here. The heat in Miami florida couldnt be any worst. The rain that has come has only made the heat vaporize into a thin layer of sticky sweat(not bad when you're on a date!).
Started reading a new book for the summer. The books not new though, Robert Ludlums "The Bourne Ultimatum". So far, the first chapter is very eye opening considering what the filmmakers did to the second book and the characters. This is my first Ludlum novel(I read a short short story by him in High School. Dont remember the title.) The book moves the story ever so forward making you want more.
The sentences seem to have a purpose not just thrown in because of adding more words. The tight action keeps you thinking and moves the plot along nicely. Although, after reading this book I will most likely not appreciate the filmmakers adaptations or re-envisioning this work unto the screen since most of the plots structure gets an uneasy facelift for the screen.
I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting a great thriller. I wont give anything away, but lets just say the movies go in one direction and the books go in another.
For those of you wanting to get your hands on a good spiritually enlightening book go get "Creative Visualization" by Shakti Gawain. This small paperback has been around for quite sometime now. It gives full instructions on how to bring certain things into your life(material as well as other issues like love relationships, friendships ,beauty, etc). The book gives detailed instructions on working towards those things you want in your life. It does not adhere to any single religon so in theory could be used for many purposes. Even if you dont believe any of this stuff, this little book can open your eyes to a new way of positive thinking.
And for the hardcore writer you can never go wrong with the Ray Bradbury's "Zen in the Art of Writing", another small book but big on inspiration for all writers.
Ever since The Bourne Identity became a film reality from a great novel by Robert Ludlum, I was completely hooked. The first film deals with visuals and fight scenes laid out in proportion to the film length. A tight paced film that will surely last for many years. However, as a spy film that has been tailored for the new generation, I was expecting even more from Matt Damons character, Jason Bourne, who is a quick-thinking CIA Black OPS solider on the run from the CIA, and searching for a past identity that was lost from trauma.
It would be a very good idea if you watch the first film since the new sequeal takes off from the last ones ending. The new DVD Release of The Bourne Identity contains an alternate beginning and ending, along with a wealth of extra features not available on the first DVD release so its a great buy for anybodys DVD collection.
Jason Bournes Identity is still a mystery to him as both he and Marie(his love interest)live out thier lives underground in Goa,India. Unfortunately, Russian Black Opertatives attempt to blame Jason for the death of two CIA agents. Keep in mind this is a thinking persons thriller, you have to keep up with the plot.
The films director, Paul Greengrass who directed the very excellent Docu-drama "Bloody Sunday" has attempted to use his camera technique in this film to full force. Extreme close-ups and jagged movements with fight scenes only intensifies the action. He literally takes you on a person-person viewpoint with Jason as he swiftly moves from India to Berlin, to Moscow. The action is fast paced and never lets go. Also, this film addresses and answers a few questions that Jason needs to know...at least so he can continue with "The Bourne Ultimatum".
Overall, I was satisfied with this sequeal in terms of a tight script with great dialogue, but was left wanting more from the first film. Particularly, I was dissappointed that the filmmakers didnt add more martial arts in the film(it was hinted in the first film) but this sequeal has even less fight scenes than the first. Moments to watch are the Kichen fight sequence with another "Treadstone" operative where Paul Greengrass used his camera shots like if hes stabbing you in the gut. This was a technique he used to great extent in Bloody Sunday. as well as the tunnel car chase thats explosive!. The sound quality is impressive in this film.
So I highly recommend it, but if you are a fan of the first film, you will be left wondering when will Matt Damon ever kick some real ass on the screen(aka Jet Li style).Im thinking in terms of "Kiss of the Dragon stuff. I know he can!!
I went to see I,Robot yesterday afternoon on my day off. It must have been the hottest day of the summer, your eyes begin to squink so much all you see are horizonal widescreen lines.
Its been so long since the last time i went alone to the movies. Most of the time I take my daughter to see her favorite ones on the big screen. Its my excuse to just have a popcorn feast everytime!.
I went to Sunset Place(its the local mutiplex mall). I was debating between Fahrenheit 9/11 or I,Robot. My view is this: why see a documentary on the big screen if you could just as easily see at on DVD with extra features on your TV?. Big movies are made for Big Screens, regardless if the movie has a weak plotline and thin story line. Who cares!..I get lost for awhile. Documentaries are great...on PBS.
While buying the big popcorn bag and coke, i was thinking about what is america?..and it dawned on me. Threatre Butter on popcorn!...lots of it!!!..the more the better!!...that butter is pure americana. That taste is unique in the western world, not found anywhere else.
And so I find the closest seat to the screen. First, the best trailer for the summer is AVP: Aliens Vs Predator. Now I know some of you, especially hardcore gamers or Fans of the Alien trilogy will hate me for it, but that trailer rocks!!!.. I dont want to give it away, but from what I saw, it looks extremely cool.
I,Robot: I have read some of the posts and blogs about the movie here, and have to agree to all of them. The storyline(plot) is way too thin. My belief is that the screenwriters were in a delimma as to structuring a "hollywood" story based on a Novel. What to leave in and what to leave out. Director Alex Proyas who directed such cool movies as "Dark City" and the cult classic "The Crow" attempted at what seems to be a dark thriller, and his cinematographer succeeded in this endeavor.
Sadly, the real story behind I,Robot is that its all about fast food consumtion and a quick fix in escapism from reality, abiet almost two hours. Despite the poor plot, I still had a good time watching the action sequences with WillSmith. The special effects(these days they are called CGI) were captivating and indeed, watching the robots speak so fluidly was interesting. My favorite scene was when Detective Spoon(will smith) stops at the robot factory and his audi is automatically parked like a hanging coat in a coat rack!.
Also, i couldnt halp but noticing that the film had a sudtle spiritual tone about it toward the very end, one that does make you think for sometime.
So out of four stars, I give it three just because i had a good time watching it as a movie instead of a film.
"It was that little girl,Cassandra from the city.."thought mrs lewis while she watched anxiously through the window on a cold october morning on the beach. The evening fog from yesterday cleared up. The sunlight was harsh but never helped warm up the day. Nobody was on the beach yet, except the little girl Cassandra whose salt filled eyes kept staring at the sun, the hazel color from her eyes were beginning to fade. Ms. Lewis didnt want to make a scene, not like last time. Back in 1968 there was a beach party with the brandon family. The kids always wanted a bonfire at night, with large flames shooting up in the sky. Mrs. Lewis told them not to do it, it would attract attention to them. "Thats the way this town always was, full of trouble and I was suppose to get them out of it?..no more!"
Her gaze left her for a moment. She kept staring at the dinner table. She walked over to it and noticed how the salt air had begun to strip away the finish on the wood. This was the table Anthony bought her for her birthday. A good friend now gone..."and its all because of this trouble..why cant they leave it alone"
But nothinhg is ever left alone, or undone. Mrs Lewis continued to stare out to the beach. Her worn torn hands pale and fragile, wiping themselves along her black dress as if the sweat poured out from the pores. She reached out and licked her palm. The salt was invigorating. Her eyes dialated. Her tongue was in a senses overload of distance and depth.
She knew the girl was bait. This was not the first time either. She wiped away the white dust from the glass. Her eyes keen on the childs left arm extended from the sand, frozen, no movement..."is she really dead?".
The waves were foaming and quick. Mrs. Lewis walked to her bedroom and checked that all the window locks were secured. Her bed with the quilts and hand-made sheets donated from the towns people were laid flat and smooth. She went back to her kichen where the kettle blew out a ready signal for her morning mint tea.
"...its not me anymore..they can forget it!"she mumbled somewhere in her mind. It echoed as it always did. She walked back to the window and saw the child again. This time, her head was covered with those seagulls. They were pecking away at her head. Some blood began to trickle down her forehead. "..this is what they want. For me to come out now and taste it".
The morning scent of a dead child made her nose bleed. She took a piece of the tissue from the corner table and carefully wiped away the drip. Still, there was some time left before anyone would notice what has happened. Ms. Lewis remained at the window. Her eyes still and wide-open like a cat’s eye upon its prey. The sound of rusty brakes and lubeless underbody from a large truck came to a halt around the back of the house. Ms Lewis knew who it was.
A rather large framed man opened the screen door and walked in. Cole Atkins Jr stood by the gas stove. The flames still in a low blue rumble waiting for a hot pan. His long black hair was neatly pony tailed. For a man of twenty-eight years of age, he always resembled his late father. His blue water-proof jacket displayed the Cauldenville police insignia which was all worn and faded. A light rain began outside and mixed well with the sunlight. “Looks like the devil is getting married again”, said Cole in a friendly manner. “this rain always happened when something goes wrong”.
Ms Lewis walked over to him. Her arms crossed as if a cold draft began to seep from some crack to the outside.
“as always, like your father. There’s nothing wrong. They’ll take her away soon”.
Officer Atkins walked closer to her. "There's not much time left". His voice almost reached that of A sharp. The milky Blue fluid began to drain itself along the seams of his pants. His knee gave up and fell to the floor, knees first, unto the marble. He began to cough loudly.
His voice was almost gone from his throat,"do something now....".
Finally im getting this contest going and hopefully I get enough entries. There are two catagories:

I wanted to apologize for not updating this blog since last week. Recently, I have become involved(once again) in a legal dispute between myself and my ex-wife regarding our daughter's welfare, child support modifications(shes against it..still wants 500 per month!!) and so on.
Had a terrible weekend at the very least. My ex-wifes best friend decided to get herself involved between me and my ex-wife!. I still do not understand why best friends like to stick thier noses in other peoples business. I unfortunately had a phone argument with her(called her a french fuck!!) shes french. Well,..i feel bad saying that but i became outraged at this womans behavior in butting in to other peoples problems and making it worse.
In any case, hope everyone is doing fine. I have updated the writers link, added and updated some new links to the right, and will soon(hopefully) be having a writers contest(creating a first draft treatment for a possible X-Files comeback episode) and ...(a dark poetry contest). the former will recieve 100 Tbucks and the latter 50 Tbucks! respectively. Since im saving those Tbucks it might get even higher than whats being reflected here. If you are intertested in this contest and want additional info just drop me a message.
My short story is almost finished and i will soon be posting it here. At the moment, Im busy looking for a legal representation and other options.
Hope you all are having a good summer and look forward to hearing from you all.
Ever since yesterday, and up till tonight, Ive been trying a get a balanced feel for my blog design. I think This is getting stupid!. Maybe I need that "queer eye for the blog guy" touch. Now where's that phone number?.
Tommorow im spending the weekend with my five year old daughter,Rebekah Zoe. Not sure what we will do. Maybe a movie or the beach. Shes easy going with daddy so thats nice.
Last nite i started a new short short story called "The Nature of Jellyfish", a horror tale for the summer. I want to compose music for it and even record myself telling the story along with the score, like an audiobook.
I finished watching "Spartan" with Val Kilmer. Cool CIA thiller with tense dialogue.
Oh..almost forgot. Started watching that PBS show Colonial House. It is a thought provoking experiment/reality show to say the least. But this evening I really got mad due to one episode where they literally have to kill a lamb/goat by cutting its throat!!.
So you all know how I feel about this treatment of animals. If you can help me in leaving negative feedback to those idiots at PBS I would appreciate it greatly. Heres the Link: Colonial House Feedback
Just scroll down, click feedback and write down your viewpoint. I thank you guys in advance.
I was trippin through the idea of either posting a new thought, or just wait till the muse hits me again with smoke bombs and fireworks. Instead, i was taking a small excursion through the net trying to find some new music(like bands i've never heard of before). It kinda feels like that scene in "Trainspotting" where McGregor is swimming in the toliet to get his drugs. The net is full of muck and crap, but believe it or not kids, every once in awhile, you can come across something "original" and even "exciting"..
I found this website called "Go-Kart" which is a small record label that handle what i would call" hard rock/and some speed metal..i think thats right?. They are against the RIAA and have placed all their artists music on the site as free downloads. I downloaded a track from a band who call themselves "Capture the Flag" and the track is called "Going through motions"..its actually very good!..great loud guitar music!..check them out here: Go-Kart Records
I know the topic of downloading music seems to be taboo in this country of thieves and liars, but i wanted to bring it back up to the light and try to come to terms with this Phenomenon.
I remember back in 1994 or 1995? when the internet began to take its dark-hooded shape and most schools were already "plugged-in" like the vocational college i went to. One day in computer class, the guy sitting next to me was not programming in "C" but laughing at the far-side cartoon on the net posted by the New York Times. I asked him" whats that?", and he said, " thats the internet man"..and from that point on during the next couple of weeks, i was in a state of awe!. That same day, i ran to my then girlfriend and told her of my discovery from the outside world. It felt like I was some type of neanderthal that discovered the frying pan back a million years ago!. It was new and shiny!, and lots of pictures!..and offering the world information and knowledge...but was anyone buying?
Okay, not to get sidetracked, in 2000, my use of Napster was intense!.I was downloading everything in site. Particularly those expensive box sets like AC/DC Bonfire! or the Police "Message in a Box" collections. I downloaded the entire Pink Floyd library!, the entire Beatles!...there appeared to be no end in site to this wonderful new feature on the net.
Then came that idiot from Metallica with his big mouth!. dont get me wrong, i am a big fan of Metallica, and my favorite CD is "Justice for all"...(I bought that CD), its just that i still to this day cannot comprehend why he rallied to stop Napster?..Metallica was losing money?..and would Metallica have really sued its fan base?...read here their response: Metallica wont sue its fans
they believed that it was "economically ridiculous" to go after thier fans. But if it were in Metallica's benefit, would they have sued?. But that was 2000!, now the RIAA is going after everyone they can get their claws on. If its an old man, a small child, they want money and compensation!!..god bless America!!Now its not so ridiculous. Now, that fear has become a reality for you and me.
Oh..if you think im crazy, go here to this website for MTV where Lars Ulrich explains his stupid reasons for suing another band because they....ummmm...used the same chords as Metallica did. Go here: Metallica Sue Canadian Band over E, F Chords
And so, my thoughts have been kept with the notions about sharing music on the internet. Is it moral or immoral?..do you think sharing and copying music from a CD is right or wrong?..and why?..heres another article that tries to keep things in perspective: Problems with the ownership of music
As for me, my view is this: if you are not making money with someone elses sweat then share!..copy!..get my name out there in the world. As a side note: i pay for a subscription service on the net that allows me to "trade" music with other members. Is that wrong?..leave comments folks..you know i love ya!
Oh..i would post some cool MP3 sites where you could download tons of new music for free, but that would be UN-American right?
Here's another poem i wrote while visiting my friends blog on Tblogs. Shes really a special friend and a great lover!...for TigerGrrl
Two Colors (upon a blossom and the drink of dew)
Your hands cut and dried Cherries red spread between fingers Each hand holding the other And the wood glue begins to take hold
A walk begins There are familiar streets Scenes from each others Polaroid’s Recreated with mahogany woodblocks
But we never left each other Under the blossom and the dew
We share the rains from each others tears We gather the pumpkin seeds and throw them at passerby’s We counted the finches under the autumn skies and sent a kiss to the gods
But we never left each other Under the blossom and the dew
Our hands still impressed We searched through the knights green forest The grail is still underneath the dead oak And we ran through separate archways The New York central buzzing bees and jumping trains The Downtown Street shadows at 7pm Catching the Lexington exit Losing the sight of each other
But we never left each other Under the blossom and the dew
Ever since I joined TBlogs I have noticed what trends dominate the interest of the users. Apparently, the blogs with the most political viewpoints have most readers on edge, and leaving many comments in their wake.
Although I could create a blog with mutiple viewpoints on every political agenda around the world, I am satisfied with just my blog being that of creative and peaceful, instead of surrendering to the american flag(or any other flag for that matter). My flag is that of the true human being with compassion, and a little intelligence.
Of course, I still believe in adding my two-cents worth to worthy causes(the Palestinian movement), and even PETA. But the true cause for all of us should be understanding. Sadly, it lacks in most,if not all, blogs. Most bloggers with a political bent want nothing more than to enrage the blog community(like the Little Green Footballs blog on the net).
The arguement around the blogs is that they are an "open Forum" so anyone can post their views, and thus if someone on Tblogs wants to insult an Arab fellow blogger, its ok because we are an open forum of free thinkers with small brains.
Instead of posting crap about the Palestinians or the Israelis' we should be posting solutions. The internet is about knowledge and, supposedly, about intelligent individuals who want solutions and are willing to be creative.
And thus, i finish here with that word..creative. The act of creativity is the act of divinity(or maybe it was the Twinkie)..ummm.
When the temperature outside gets to 90 degrees, its nice to find ,accidently on the web, a very Kool site that, apparently, almost everyone knew about,...except me.
Not that I like to plug every site I find, but this site is so well designed and jammed pack with so much material that..well..I'll let the webmaster describe the site:
"...urban75 e-zine: one of the most popular e-zines on the web with bulletin boards, games, photos, protest, rave, drugs & more. This site is strictly non-profit - no banners, no tie-ins, no ads. .."
ok, im not into drugs(except during the 70's in high school, but thats another story), and I'm still trying to understand the Rave scene, but this website is so informative and fun that I will be visiting more and more. I stumbled upon it while seaching for images of New York City for a poem im working on.
Check these guys out and let me know your opinions.
